I'm not a poetry person, pretty much at all, but I liked this. It was for last years 2008 Reflections which was themed "wow". Take a moment and process how lame that is and then continue onwards.

Wow is and WasCollapse )

And then, just because I can, this was my submission for 2008 Impressions as well. I'm only proud of this one because almost all dialog used are real quotes.

(Okay well this is one of the first things I posted on my page. I really am fond of it so I decided to put it here for everyone to see. Dark Angel was inspired by a rather unpleasant charecter in Harry Potter, Severus Snape. I still love him though, so I decided to use him as my writing prompt. :))

Dark Angel

Dark angel
obsidian eyes, sallow skin.
Dark angel
scathing words, sarcastic grin.
Dark angel
Forever imprisoned by your pain.
Dark angel
What more can you gain?
Dark angel
You try to disguise
the hurt I see in your eyes
Dark angel
Voice of velvet, sharp of mind,
I know that you were once kind.
Dark angel
I try to make you stay,
but you run away.
Dark Angel
Forever elusive,
forever mine.
Dark Angel

RIP Severus Snape
